These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and [Company Legal Name] ("Relay", "we", "us") governing your use of the Relay application and website at relayos.store (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What Relay is

Relay is a local-first personal AI application for macOS. It runs on your own device and connects to AI models through your own Claude subscription or API key. Relay orchestrates AI agents and can, with your approval, take actions in apps and services you connect.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure, and are responsible for activity under your account. Accounts are for a single person and may not be shared. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.

3. Subscriptions, trials & billing

Relay is offered as a paid subscription with an optional free trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription begins and renews automatically (monthly or annually, as selected) until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period. Payments are processed by our payment provider and merchant of record, Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd and affiliates), whose terms also apply to your purchase. Prices may change with reasonable notice; changes apply to future billing periods.

4. Your Claude subscription

The Service requires you to supply your own Claude subscription or API key. Your use of Claude is governed by Anthropic's own terms and policies. Relay is an independent product and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Anthropic, and is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or output of the AI models.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the Service unlawfully or to harm others; resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service; circumvent licensing, usage limits, or security; or reverse engineer the Service except to the extent permitted by law. You are responsible for reviewing and approving any action Relay takes on your behalf.

6. License & intellectual property

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose while your subscription is active. We retain all rights in the Service and its software. You retain all rights in your own content and data.

7. Your data & privacy

Relay is designed to keep your content on your device. Our handling of the limited information we do process is described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete; you are responsible for evaluating it before relying on it or approving actions.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Relay will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data or profits. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to comply with law. On termination, your license ends; your local data remains on your device.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [your jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence still apply.
